Another new face to join Musselman High School this year is Mr. DeHaven. After Mr. Golebiewski transitioned to the main building, Mr DeHaven has taken his place as the new PLC principal. He will be working primarily with our freshman.

First earning his degrees at Bridgewater College and Liberty University, Mr. DeHaven then taught for six years as a biology teacher before becoming a principal.

When asked about his goal for MuHS, DeHaven stated, “My goal is to build on the already established school culture here at Musselman. I want to encourage students and teachers to take risks and to step outside of their comfort zone in order to fulfill their full potential.”

In his spare time, Mr. DeHaven loves to flip furniture for fun, which he learned during quarantine. He also enjoys football and soccer with his favorite teams being the Steelers and the PSG. His favorite food is pizza and ice cream, but when asked if he could eat anywhere, he chose Texas Roadhouse where he could have steak and a baked potato. We are looking forward to all Mr. DeHaven will bring to the Appleman family!
