The Musselman Applemen Soccer Team have triumphed through the Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference (EPAC) this season. The team has gone on this season with a 8-2-2 record so far.
This is an improvement from last season as they went 4-11-3.
We caught up with team captain, Dominic Demasi, goal keeper, Dawson Roblee, as well as the head coach, Chandler DeHaven, to shed some insight on how the team has progressed.
They overall agree that there’s still tons of space for improvement. This is good news as the season has just begun and they’ve already bested last year’s record.
“Improvement begins with the team’s morale. We struggle to maintain the lead, because we’re not used to winning,” stated DeHaven.
Dominic Demasi follows through the same lines stating, “Failure is the recipe to success, without failure we wouldn’t be where we are now.”
Roblee is convinced they’re definitely a lot more hungry than they ever were and he’s very confident with his beliefs: “Last year the team’s mentality was a little bit off, but now it’s definitely stronger this season.”
They have started to realize their overall potential after beating some of the toughest teams in our county.
“We have the opportunity to be the best, we just gotta fix the little problems,” stated DeHaven.
