Our favorite Gym and English teacher are finally engaged. We have all probably have seen the post of Taylor and Travis getting engaged on Instagram. On August 26 her post on Instagram obviously blew up fast with tons of reposts and everyone is so happy for her to finally be getting married and for all her new love songs to come. All of us Swifties are so excited, so I wanted to see how some of our staff and students react and feel about the new engagement
Staff Opinions
Question: Have you heard about Taylor and Travis getting engaged, and where?
Answers:
Long: “ I did hear about it. I think it was on Instagram the first place I saw it.”
Veneable: “The Swifty one, yea . Instagram, unfortunately it was on ESPN for some reason.”
Miller: “I did, you know how I heard it? I heard it from my sixth period who did a lot of screaming whenever it came when they finally found out.”
Mott: “I did yea . ESPN.”
Carl: “Yes, I have. I think I heard about it on the news, the national news.”
Shirley: “I did not. I’m glad they’re getting engaged and I want everyone to be happy, sounds like a wonderful thing”
Reynolds: “Oh yes, I have heard about that, my friend sent it to me on Instagram, Cameron Winebrenner’s mom.”
Q: Do you care, or have anything to say about it?
A:
Long: “ I hope that Taylor Swift is a method for women to get more invested in football, which I know it is because I’ve seen a lot more people caring about the game since then, and I hope it’s a positive way to get them more engaged in professional football.”
Veneable: “For them no comment. Evidently it happened a couple weeks ago and just got re leased , so I wasn’t surprised. Hopefully you get an invite to the wedding.”
Miller: “I feel like their wedding reception is going to have great food, so I’m hoping to be invited. I think we should have canceled school; because it’s such a big news, lots of excitement I don’t know why we went to school the rest of the day and the next day.”
Mott: “Uh no I don’t care they’re both way above my pay grade.”
Carl: “No, I don’t care, and this is going to break your heart, but I don’t like either one of them.”
Shirley: “They both have nice careers, and I think that’s wonderful.”
Reynolds: “I think it’s nice to see we’ve all been following this love story as it unfolds. It’s just nice to see people in love and finding happiness so I like that. And I went to the Eras Tour with my amazing daughter Nora.”

Abigail: “ Yes. On Instagram my mom texted me and told me. I’m a big swifty.”
Riley: “Yes , I did. I think I heard from you or Abby to be honest .”
Cameron: “Yup. My mom told me at my house.”
Jdl: “Yea I did! Instagram.”
Kingston: “ Yea I did, like I heard about it like 2 months ago, I saw it on Instagram. ”
Audrian: “I did, Instagram, well my mom first told me then I saw it on Instagram.”
Q: Do you care, or have anything to say about it?
A:
Abigail: “I’m happy for her yay. Yay she’s finally engaged.”
Riley: “I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures, it’s going to be gorgeous. But I’m really sad I won’t get any more heartbreaking songs now that she’s happy in love. But you know this is a great era.”
Cameron: “I think they’re going to break up.”
Jdl: , “I’m happy for her she’s been lonely for like 20 years.”
Kingston: “No I don’t really care for them.”
Audrina: “I am a Swifty, so I’m so excited!”
Clearly some people have excited feelings, and some just don’t care, but most people did hear about it whether it was on the news, or social media. It certainly blew up fast and was reposted everywhere. Getting engaged was a huge excitement and I can’t wait for all the new Taylor and Travis posts to come, and all the new music we will get out of her finally being married and in love.
