After a quarter of a century, the library at Musselman High School, while a functional space, may have lost some of its visual appeal and relevance. The renovation was focused on aesthetics and was about more than just surface-level improvements; it was about creating an inspiring and welcoming environment that encourages students to engage with learning and discovery. 

A renovation should focus on creating flexible and inviting spaces that cater to the diverse needs of Musselman’s students. The primary goal of an aesthetic renovation should be to create a bright, modern library. This can be achieved through a few design choices, such as updating the color palette with fresh, vibrant hues and an inviting atmosphere. 

By reimagining the library’s layout and design, we transformed it into a dynamic and engaging environment that fosters creativity, learning, and a sense of community among the student body. Remember, “no pain, no gain,” and the effort put into this renovation yielded significant benefits for Musselman’s students for years to come. 

Beyond the basics, an aesthetic renovation can incorporate elements that reflect the school’s identity and values.
