On December 14th, 2018, a revolutionary movie was created; “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” This movie, based on the Marvel comics, reveals the story of Miles Morales and his experience in becoming Spiderman.
Though, Morales’ story did not end there, June 2nd, 2023, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” made its debut. The film continued this story and added many characters that make up Spider-Verse. When these movies were created, the Spider-Man fanbase grew to love the conflicts, plot-twists, and funny nature of Miles Morales in his film.
As the film reached the credits, it left the viewers on a cliffhanger, causing watchers to anticipate the third movie of the trilogy. The third movie, being titled “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,” was planned to come out late 2023 to beginning of 2024. Now, it has been delayed to 2026. Those anticipating the movie were disappointed, but they were happy that the movie was still going to be released.
The delays were due to strikes active in Hollywood by the actors and writers, leaving no time to record and animate the expected film. News, not yet confirmed, has been released that we may not get the movie until 2029, two years after the recent delayed date.
In recent months, Shameik Moore, the voice actor for Miles morales has received backlash from the media. He and Hailey Steinfeld have had some conflicts due to Moore commenting unprofessional things. This could make it difficult to continue the voice lines until another actor is found.
