As the chill of winter settled over Musselman High School from February 3rd- 7th, the school buzzed with excitement and creativity during the much-anticipated Winter Spirit Week. Each day brought a new opportunity for students to showcase their school spirit in some uniquely themed attire. Here’s a rundown of the festivities that made the week unforgettable!
Kicking off the school spirit was Monday’s ‘Superbowl Showdown,’ where everyone was encouraged to wear anything football-related. Tuesday’s theme had everyone cosying up in style as everyone embraced the chill with ‘Baby it’s Cold Outside. ’ Midweek brought on the rugged charm of ‘Lumberjack Day’ where students and staff rocked their best flannels. Thursday upped the ante with the ‘Miser Brothers’ theme, which saw freshmen and sophomores flooding the halls in bright red to represent ‘Fire,’ while juniors and seniors donned blue for ‘Ice.’ As Spirit Week came to a thrilling conclusion, Friday was all about the ‘Winter Whiteout.’ Students dressed in as much white as they could.
The atmosphere was electric as everyone came together in unison, ready to end the final day with a pep rally. Students engaged in exciting games like table surfing, basketball musical chairs, snowball (donut) eating, and more. Student sections cheered for their peers, and the laughter echoed throughout the gym. While the juniors put up a good fight, seniors ended up taking the win with the most points. We also introduced our new crowned Mr. & Mrs. pep! Mr. Long and Mrs. (Kim) Smith roamed the gym floor with their Applemen staffs and shining crowns as they hyped up our amazing students.
Overall, Musselman High School’s Winter Spirit Week was more than just a series of themed days; it was a celebration of school pride and community. With each day’s unique theme, students bonded, created lasting memories, and made winter just a little warmer! Let’s hope the next spirit week is just as thrilling!
