Over the past few years, Musselman volleyball has made a name for itself through the multiple State Champ titles. Through this, the team was recently given a chance to represent West Virginia in a Hawaiian volleyball tournament. Along with the girls’ hard work came time for fun.
When asked what her favorite part about the trip was, sophomore, Olivia Allis responded, “My favorite part of Hawaii was when we went rock jumping in this place called Sharks Cove.”
When thinking in terms of a state champion team, you need more than good players. Having team experiences to help players create bonds is crucial for them to thrive on the court together, as a team.
Junior, Reese Troxler, stated in an interview, “I think the trip brought us all closer together and gave good opportunities for bonding so early in the season.”
Throughout the tournament, the team got some good play time as well as some great experiences. It will be exciting to see how this bonding effects the season as a whole.
