The boy’s basketball team for Musselman High School has been able to perform greatly this season. Whether home or away, the team pushes on and chases after big plays on offense while remaining an immovable force on defense. The team has had strong performances over schools like Woodrow Wilson, Greenbrier East, and Broadfording.
Even when the team has lost their games, they’ve played hard and kept looking to make big plays, a great sign for the future of the team.
“We’re really happy with where we at and as long as we keep pushing hard, we should have a great rest of our season,” says Coach Basile, when asked if he feels any adjustments need made.
The winning mindset has been clear with each of the team’s performances this year. Both the coaching and the on-court performances have led to high scores on offense and big turn overs on defense. The players are playing their hearts out and it is showing.
Fans of the team within the student section have also been showing up and bringing an energetic energy to both home and away games.
When asked about the impact the student section has on games, Coach Basile says, “Yeah, I absolutely think our student section brings some high energy to games and has a big sway on how some plays end, especially at home games.”
The rest of the season is sure to be full of big plays and wins. The coaching staff only bolsters this team’s skill. Musselman Boys’ Varsity Basketball is on a strong path to the postseason, and with the support of the fans, that path only grows more clear.
