The Cider Press us taking the time to hello our students and community get to know some of the current staff at MuHS. This is Mrs. Smith’s fourth year at Musselman. Mrs. Smith is well known for being a positive light for students, and the Cider Press is eager to get to know her more!
Q: How long have you been here?
A (Smith): “This is my fourth year at Musselman High school. I am an English co-teacher/ resource teacher.”
Q: What are some fun facts you’d like us to know?
A (Smith): “I’m always one who likes to use sarcasm to make people laugh. I know that I am goofy in my own way, and I know it makes students more comfortable that way.”
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
A (Smith): “My favorite thing to do in my free time is spending time with my kids. My kiddos mean everything to me, and I just love them to death.”
Q: Did you have any fun summer adventures?
A (Smith): “Well I took care of my sick daughter all summer, though I did go to the beach. Other than that, most of my summer I was home taking care of my kid who was not feeling good all summer.”
Q: If you weren’t teaching, what would you be doing?
A (Smith): “If I could do anything besides teaching I’d love to be able to travel. I would love to not have to work and just travel.”
Q: What are you looking forward to this school year?
A (Smith): “I’m looking forward to seeing the growth. I guess every year I see myself wanting to see growth in our students because of COVID and everything. I just think a lot of them have regressed a little bit, and I would like to see improvement whether it be SAT scores go up or grades go up. I would just love to see our students excel in academics.”
