Runners take your mark, get set and….

It’s officially the 2022 Musselman Track season. After having a not so normal year last year, the track season is back and better than ever.

This weekend the track team traveled to Boonsboro, Maryland to compete in the Dwight Scott Invitational. This meet was super competitive with 18 teams attending. The boys placed 3rd and the girl’s placed 8th.

The boys 4x100M Relay beat the school record. The new record set by Wyatt Newcome, Jacob Sturba, Ty Hosby, and Ray Adames is set at 43.63 seconds.

Here are some highlights from this weekend:

  • Jacob Sturba -1st in 100M
  • Ray Adames-1st in 200M
  • Jordan Holmes- 2nd in Long Jump
  • Alex Nguesta- 4th Shot
  • Diana Rutherford- 6th Shot
  • Janiyah Lindsay- 6th in 100 High Hurdles
